A historic golf course in Royan
Created in 1977, 30 years after the closure of the first golf course in Royan, the Côte de Beauté golf course is now located in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, on the Grande Côte. Initially comprising a 9-hole course, it was extended to include a further 9 holes in the 1980s, followed by a compact 6-hole course. Today, the Royan golf course is more than forty years old. In the exceptional setting of the Coubre forest, its 18-hole course follows a naturally undulating landscape of dunes, stretching right down to the ocean. It offers a relaxing, shady setting for golfers who prefer precision to power.
Quality facilities in a privileged setting
For both amateur golfers and competitive players who are members of a golf club, the Royan golf course offers enthusiasts a two-in-one 18-hole course made up of two 9-holes, of which No. 14, a 167-metre par 3, is renowned for the breathtaking views it affords of the ocean and the Cordouan lighthouse. There is also a compact 6-hole course (par 20, 920 m). For training or discovery sessions, the golf course has a driving range and putting green. At the entrance to the site you'll find a clubhouse, a pro shop open all year round and a restaurant open to all, open every day in summer and every day except Wednesday the rest of the year. Fares
Depending on the season, green fees range from €31 to €72 for the 18-hole course, €20 to €48 for the 9-hole course, and €21 to €32 for the compact course. There is a discount of 50 % on the green fee for under-21s. For practice on the driving range, the price is €3.50 for a bucket of balls, with discounts for cards containing several buckets. In the restaurant, the chef offers à la carte dishes from 11 euros, a golfer's menu at 23 euros, formulas at 32 euros and a gourmet menu at 39 euros. You can also take golf lessons at the golf school. Members have priority tickets for the Ryder Cup and the Open de France.
