At the heart of this south-western French resort, the harbour is an inviting place to stroll: relax on a terrace, admire the pleasure boats and watch the return of the fishing boats. The port of Royan is also the departure point for cruise liners on the Gironde estuary: the perfect way to admire the grand Cordouan lighthouse from the water.
